(V I D E O I N P O S T)
Life and the loss of it are a given; yet, for the living, the passing of a friend is a painful part of living. Often, I spontaneously reflect on life and death in the Mississippi Delta! As an addict, an alcoholic and a fairly orthodox adherent to a Judeo-Christian worldview, my lens is, of course, colored by those knowns! Life is a short ride, and I am thankful for the Hope of Eternity!

Thanks for the reminder that we do have hope in the face of death thanks to He who was, who is and who will ever be. I’ve always thought there was nothing bleaker in this world than the Delta in winter time. Going to a friend’s funeral only makes that drive to Clarksdale all the more bleak. Hang in there, my friend, and God’s blessings on you and yours. Hope to see you soon.

Thanks, Robert! Well said regarding winter in the Delta & a funeral! Appreciate you! ❤️🙏😃
Hello my friend. I’m sad to hear of the loss of your friend, but happy to hear and see you’re doing well otherwise. Preach on my brother! He knew us better than we know ourselves before we were yet formed in the womb AND LOVES US ANYHOW! Justice is getting what we deserve. Mercy is not getting what we deserve. Grace is getting what we don’t deserve and I thank God for His Amazing Grace. May God bless you and Madge. Take care.
Thx, Herbie! Good to hear from you! Hope your world is good?! Spot on re: grace, mercy & justice! Cheers, my friend! 😃
Hello Billy, Just recently found you and saw this posting on the same day a very good friend of mine died, so it was a balm for my soul. We serve a mighty God who has prepared a place for us!
