We are making news, folks, across the ocean thanks to writer Paul Sexton of The Telegraph in London. Sexton interviews our brother Robert Plant and garners words of wisdom from the rocker about our recent Mississippi Delta festival, the blues, Africa and his band.
In his article Paul makes a brief reference to “Clarksdale, …once known as the golden buckle in the cotton belt.” Well, we are here to tell ya, and Paul, I hope you will write an article about this some day, The Golden Buckle is on it’s way back to full glory! We pray all of Clarksdale and the Mississippi Delta and the State of Mississippi will be blessed by it.
Paul’s article is a fun read especially since we are still recovering from and basking in the glow of the recent 25th Annual Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival which featured Plant as our headliner. CLICK HERE to read his article on The Telegraph’s website.
Thank you Robert Plant for giving Clarksdale a Whole Lotta Love. And thank you Paul Sexton for showing us some London Telegraph Love! mmh
