(Clarksdale, Mississippi)
When a long-time annual visitor to our Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival contacted me today and asked a simple question,”Where are we going to eat?!” I felt sorry for him. He feels just like we locals do.
That’s right. We no longer have anywhere to go for a fine meal in a smoke-free environment where one can sip on something stronger than a beer in this town! (Private Country Club Members excluded.)
Madidi closed over a year ago. Rust shut down right after Juke Joint Festival 2013. What the….! I guess we will be brown bagging it in this town for awhile.
You too may be asking yourself? Are there any good Restaurants in Clarksdale?
Until Rust re-births itself at the Shacks or until the tapas/small plates Pink Bar becomes a reality at the Big Pink Guesthouse, we have the following spots to frequent, many of which are quite good.
Please email (mail@deltabohemian.com) or Facebook message us if we mistakenly left you off the list. (Sorry, no fast food restaurants listed.)
Keep in mind, Red’s Blues Club serves up some good street side Bar B Q when he is open!
