It’s sad, sad to think Daddy Rich may bow out of the music world. I know he took a break this past year to get his priorities straight and for that I commend and respect him. We have missed his music and self. But enough is enough! Play more tunes for me, $Daddy Rich$!!! I don’t want to hear any more sad, sad songs, unless it’s YOUR Sad, Sad Song.
If you are racking your brain and wondering who is $Daddy Rich$, then watch this video. His popular song “Clarksdale” is featured at the beginning (1:09) and again as the ending track (5:01) with a Lee Craven (former Madidi Restaurant Executive Chef), aka Lee Sweaty Ricky Cravenized, Remix of the hit.

$Daddy Rich$, or Richard Crisman the Clarksdale native son, is now ready to answer his yearning-to-create-more and I am all over that! His music is at times zany, quirky, literary, off-the-wall, curious, unconventional and fresh. Sound familiar? $DR$ is asking his fans and friends to help him out as he kick starts his music career. Will you help?
First, have a listen to this FANTASTIC, and I mean F A N T A S T I C, Remix of $Daddy Rich$‘s song “Crazy Dream” which could be the title track for a Hollywood movie.

After a very demanding 10 years of live shows and touring the US. Canada, Italy & France, Rich decided to take a year long break in 2014. Show him a reason to come out of early retirement. “The music Biz is about supply & demand, show me the demand and I’ll give you the supply.” -$DR$
$Daddy Rich$ is launching this campaign to help raise enough money to RePress 1,000 copies of his 2nd CD release, “Clarksdale.” He plans to use the proceeds from album sales to fund a new $Daddy Rich$ project in mid to late 2015 which will possibly be a book, a short film, and/or a new music release. That is reason enough for me to contribute!!!!!
Since the initial release of “Clarksdale” in 2007, $DR$ has been unable to afford to pay for a second run of the popular disc. He started making bootleg copies to sell at his shows in hopes of being able to afford another professional pressing. He was never able to reach his goal.
In his own words…..
One of the hardest things for me to ever do in my whole life is to admit that I need help. Well….I admit it, I need help.
I really appreciate all of your kindness over the years. I have met some of the most caring and wonderful people in the world over the last ten years. There are some very good prizes to be had for your contribution.
Thank you all so much! You have no idea how much all you fans/friends have meant to me over the years. Even if this turns out the be the end of the road, I’m so very grateful for the times that we’ve had while traveling it together!
With all my love,
$Daddy Rich$
