Clarksdale, Mississippi – The Summer 2012 issue of Clarksdale Press Register’s Coahoma Living magazine celebrates the dawn of a new website. RIVERGATOR.org has been birthed by Delta Bohemian Driftwood Johnnie, aka John Ruskey of Quapaw Canoe Company. After many years of personal river experience and several years of site development, John has given to non-motorized travelers along the Lower Mississippi River Water Trail an in-depth source to both enhance and make safe their journeys.
The Coahoma Living article, written by our very own Billy “Poor William” Howell, gives a deep perspective of what drives riverman Ruskey. The two men are good friends and share a mutual love of the outdoors, especially water travel.
John also takes his passion for the river and expresses it through a paintbrush. The new RIVER GATOR giclée print and poster are for sale in our shop. The original painting is not available for purchase however the fine-art reproduction is as close to the original as you can get. The archival, museum-quality giclée is printed to the exact size as the original with a limited edition run of 15.
The Clarksdale Press Register is a online subscription newspaper. We appreciate the paper letting us share the .pdf files with our readers. If you are traveling through the Mississippi Delta, pick up your free Coahoma Living magazine at many tourist stopping points; you will find many interesting articles in the supplement. mmh
