Chilly Billy adoring a Mississippi Delta Sunset while traveling down historic Highway 49 south from the Clarksdale Crossroads—juncture of Highways 49 & 61—Pontificus Minimus was heading on assignment for Legends Magazine to Greenwood, Mississippi to attend the Viking Cooking School’s special Friday night class based on recipes from the hit blockbuster movie, The Help.

The westward setting, winter Mississippi Delta sun was spectacular and varied. The Ole Opiner was moved to record a beautiful sunset via his handy iPhone while traveling 60 miles per hour. Sorry folks, he was also moved to sing, he can’t, a song he sings in his heart every morning during his quiet time—a song aptly reflecting the awe-inspired wonder of a creation too magnificent to comprehend.

If the always-off-tune crooning disturbs you, then mute the volume and play a different song or tune, or just watch this altogether lovely scene, in silence! Vaya con Dios! pm
