PHOTOS AND VIDEO INCLUDED
We received our first promise of Fall a few days ago with reduced temps. Football has returned to the television and on the local ball fields. School is back in session and the Summer is winding down. The Delta Bohemian spent some excellent time on the Mississippi River with Quapaw Canoe Company‘s John Ruskey and some new friends. See separate posts about these adventures this week.
Check out a short Rust Restaurant video of the talented Justin Zamm, a Teach For America instructor of music, while he sings Trouble written by Ray LaMontagne. There is more footage from Bluesberry Cafe of the always delightful and hill country bluesman Sean “BAD” Apple with visiting drummer of the group Sit Down Baby Michael Allen from Newport, Rhode Island. At the very end is a brief clip of Bill Luckett during his speech at Ground Zero Blues Club when he conceded defeat in his democratic nomination race with Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree who has made history by becoming the first African American in modern history to win a major-party nomination for Mississippi governor.
Check out some photos taken around town then read on to decide where you want to go and what you want to do in the coming weeks.

WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE COMMENTS!!
Well Done Madge! Be sure and check out the photo gallery. Madge tries weekly to put as many different pictures from scenes around Clarksdale and the Delta as is possible. If you see a friend on there, tell them about it and have them sign up for free to become a Delta Bohemian! If you sign up, then we mention you more specifically in our posts! Thanks! Poor William
