(Jackson, Mississippi) by Magical Madge – On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, you can dine while talking art in a setting that is sure to impress. How could it not?
The Jackson Symphony League is hosting a Spring Luncheon and the one and only Mississippi Interior Designer and Lifestyle and Design Blogger MS Design Maven, Marilyn Trainor Storey, is Chairing the event. Already we know it is going to be beautiful because everything Marilyn does is beautiful. (Have you checked out the Delta Bohemian Guest House yet? Marilyn did the interior design!)
At the luncheon The Maven is featuring, other than her entertaining and delightful self, Mississippi native and New York Interior, Furniture, and Accessory Designer John Lyle of John Lyle Design and Inox New York. Did you catch Lyle’s wildly popular Tastemaster Tag Sale on the fabulous online store One King’s Lane? Check out this vintage Grapevine Chandelier he was offering.
Lyle will entertain the guests with his wit and expertise about having a passion and A Fascination With Art – Making it Your Life.
Another featured guest is yours truly, little ole Madge Marley Howell. I will be pitching out a fun concept that has the word CONVICT in it! Sounds rather edgy, no? Who wants to be a convict? I DO!
Guests will have a chance to shop before and after the luncheon with Lynn Fraley Laughlin of Annie Fraley Jewelry, whose unique, one-of-a-kind vintage jewelry is currently featured at the Delta Bohemian Gift Shop in Clarksdale.
A number of Mississippi Artists have donated their work for this special event. They include Lisa Paris, Elizabeth Hughes Bass, Sarah Beaugez, Chris Morrow, Catron Williams, Valerie Britt, Kim Duese, John Ruskey and Austin Britt.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS if you plan to attend, and I think you should. Wear your most artful fascinator or hat for the opportunity to win a lovely sculptured flower courtesy of Courtney Chinn Peters of Mosaic. I just love parties that get folks out of the box. Don’t you? Remember the Delta Ball? I made up a reason to get out of the box for that one!
Here’s the invite.
LUNCHEON IS $45 PER PERSON
