Country Roads Magazine published “FRENCH NIGHT AT MADIDI” in April 2011. French Night Madidi heralds back to one of the finest culinary experiences offered in Morgan Freeman’s now closed fine dining restaurant in Clarksdale. The two Steel Chef Mississippi combatants and good friends, Madidi Executive Chef the late Levi Minyard and Parlor Market Executive Chef the late Craig Noone, were singled out for particular accolades on a night filled with fine Epicurean faire and a bevy of incredibly talented chefs from Mississippi, Oregon and Avignon, France.

The evening celebrated and honored Master French Chef Chevalier Philippe Boulot of Portland’s Heathman restaurant. Boulot had been Minyard’s mentor.

Read the article and pay special note to page three  where the writer describes the courses by Levi and Craig. A memory worth remembering. CLICK HERE FOR COUNTRY ROADS ARTICLE.

Writer’s note: Roger Stolle owns Cat Head Blues and Folk Art and the Hotel is the Alcazar.
