Clarksdale Super Blues Sunday, or my favorite day in Clarksdale, is October 9, 2016. Have you made your plans to attend yet?!
In the past I have referred to the special time as the Best Day in Clarksdale but am digging this term Clarksdale Super Blues Sunday.
Also, can’t mention this day without a shoutout to PINETOP PERKINS (RIP)…why the celebration day (Pinetop Homecoming) even started in the first place fifteen years ago! You will see photos of the legend in the 2010 gallery along with his Manager Pat Morgan! #SuperBluesSunday #ClarksdaleSuperBluesSunday #SuperBluesSunday16
Juke Joint Festival is by far my favorite week in Clarksdale but the Sunday following Helena’s King Biscuit Blues Festival is hands-down a magical day to be in the Heart of the Mississippi Delta.
DID YOU ATTEND IN THE PAST?
If so, you may see yourself in the Photo Galleries below
from 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Super Blues Sunday music venues for 2016 include Bluesberry Cafe, Cat Head Blues & Folk Art, Hopson Commissary, Levon’s Bar & Grill, Red’s Lounge, Rock & Blues Museum and more. Free live blues starts at 9am in front of Cat Head and will go all day and night long all over town.
If you decide to make a day trip, spend the night! Book your place to stay at the Delta Bohemian Guest House, the Clarksdale White House or the Clark House.
On Monday treat yourself to something utterly unique and personal by booking a Delta Bohemian Tour with Poor William. You’ll learn things about the Mississippi Delta and Clarksdale in a refreshing and memorable way.
We hope to see you soon!

Looking forward to being there during King Biscuit and more!
