(CLARKSDALE, Mississippi)

  1. DO have a good time!
  2. DO be open to the unexpected—it’s all organic in the DELTA!
  3. DO tip your waiters, waitresses, bartenders and musicians. Most make just a couple bucks per hour and depend on tips. Most folks in the service industry in Clarksdale love the blues as much as the festivalgoers, but they choose to serve you so that you have a most excellent time!
  4. DO visit as many venues as possible; this is a rare opportunity to see and hear some amazing artists right where it began!
  5. DO enjoy all the characters you meet! They’s a bunch of us!
  6. DO stay hydrated as much as possible! Water goes well with cold beer, wine, and heavier libations!
  7. DO spend plenty of money! We needs it, so we can keep this town and festival moving forward!
  8. DO connect with as many folks as possible; this is a rare opportunity to meet people from all over the world, who love the blues and who love the Mississippi Delta!
  9. DO holla at Poor William as he drives the Delta Bohemian Pedicab around town! $20 per couple for a 30-minute introductory tour of downtown Clarksdale during the festival and $5 to $10 per person to ferry you from festival hotspot to hotspot—depending on the distance and how tired the poorest of lads might be! Text or Call 662-645-9197
  10. DON’T leave without having a BIG-ASS TIME!  pw
