The Blue Biscuit in Indianola, Mississippi
(Indianola, Mississippi) Trish Berry wasn’t deterred from hosting her already planned music festival when the BB King Homecoming Celebration decided to skip on over to August instead of their usual First Saturday the month of June in Indianola, Mississippi. Nope. She claimed that First Saturday in June as Indianola’s Blue Biscuit Festival Day and hasn’t looked back since.
Last year the partying started around Noonish outside The Blue Biscuit, right across the street from the BB King Museum, and continued on ’til dark when the action moved inside. This year proves to be just as successful.
Make plans to attend on Saturday, June 1st and enjoy FREE live Blues, Folk and good ole’ Southern Rock and Roll music at the annual Blue Biscuit Festival. Hungry souls can enjoy excellent grub including Crawfish, BBQ, Burgers and plenty of Beer.
After dark, roll inside the down-home restaurant for some juking. 100% of the cover goes to the musicians. We like that, Trish!
Art vendors and such are set up on the street for this burgeoning festival. Folks bring their chairs; it’s like a yard party in town. Sounds perfect for the Delta Bohemian. We plan to attend, party and bring some of our DB apparel to sell. Thanks for inviting us, Trish.
