Neighbor Ray Keith has been enjoying getting the Marks 1926 Firetruck in tip top running condition for the Mississippi Delta town. Local Marks resident Mr. Barringer has asked the fix-it, machine-techno Keith to tweak the old classic just in case he keels over; Barringer wants to ride in style to the cemetery.

All kidding aside, this beautiful automobile still sports it’s original 1926 engine which sits on a T-Model Ford frame, oops, I mean, Ford Model T frame, and it purrs like a kitten. The ride is smooth too as I enjoyed the pleasure of riding on the back for a tour around the neighborhood. The beauty was custom-built by the legendary American Lafrance.

It is nice to see folks who take care of things and Mr. Ray Keith, our friendly neighbor, certainly knows how to do that. This old motorcar is 2 years older than it’s driver.

Ray and his sweet wife, Maxine, were married in 1950. Thanks for the ride, Ray and Maxine! MM
