Watcha Gonna Do?

What’s going on in and around Clarksdale and/or Coahoma County…and beyond!
With the advent of Spring comes lots of choices for things to do. As our weather improves, more folks are headin’ out of their homes and into the community. Check out some upcoming events below.
ALSO, you will want to check out the BOHEMIAN SCENES and see some photos taken around the area, especially at our very new OXBOW Restaurant, the new HOT spot in town for lunch (and soon-to-be breakfast) on Third Street. Dreamed-up, visualized, created and actualized by Clarksdale’s very own natives Chef Hayden, and his gifted bride Erica Hall. Plus a few other shots…..
DON’T FORGET TO WATCH THE VIDEO OF BLUES MASTER KENNY BROWN with a select scene of our recent storm that blew into town…from the Salon de Boheme’s front porch view.
Last week our Delta Bohemian Subscribers received a special offer for a BIG DADDY SPECIAL during the JUKE JOINT FESTIVAL. (Big Daddy is The Clark House’s biggest most luxurious room, by the way!) The prize included a 3-night deal with all kinds of benefits attached to it. Well, it was snatched up by some lucky Delta Bohemian in less than an hour! Thanks for supporting our Sponsor – The Clark House. Awesome, dude. A SPECIAL ONLY FOR SUBSCRIBERS TO THE DELTA BOHEMIAN

Owned by Chef Hayden Hall and his wife Erica Hall
BUT FIRST: WHY IS IT CALLED OXBOW?
When we posed this question to Hayden, this was his reply.
“An Oxbow is briefly defined as a U-shaped bend in the river, where the River breaks from its original path, goes out, then comes back to connect with its origin, or as John Ruskey ( the River man) put it ” the boomerang of the river.” Erica and I have considered our short journey away from Clarksdale to be redirected in boomerang like form, to come back to our origin…to our home.”
