Jonestown Family Center Fundraiser at Ground Zero Blues Club on St. Patrick’s Day

Clarksdale’s Ground Zero Blues Club will host  “Wearin’ the Green and Singin’ the Blues” on St. Patrick’s Day to raise funds for the Jonestown Family Center. The event is March 17th, 8 p.m. with area blues bands performing throughout the evening.  Jonestown, MS Family Center operates a full-day Montessori pre-school, a toddler play group, an after-school tutoring and enrichment program, a parenting program, and a fitness and health club. “Our mission is to increase educational and wellness opportunities for people in Jonestown and the surrounding area”, said Sister Teresa Shields, Director.

Music will be provided by the Stan Street Hambone Band, Sean “Bad” Apple, Watermelon Slim and more area blues favorites. Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and are available at the Historic Greyhound Bus Station in downtown Clarksdale, Miss Del’s General Store and Newson’s Auto Parts, or from Jonestown Family Center Board members.
