Trip Advisor has a new Top Ten. This time it’s the TOP TEN MOST UTTERLY UNFORGETTABLE HOTEL ROOMS IN THE WORLD. Guess who is #4? Clarksdale’s own SHACK UP INN.

This unique and wildly popular destination spot for lovers of the Mississippi Delta worldwide was the only, I say THE ONLY, spot in the entire U. S. of A. to make it in the TOP TEN list. Here! Here! Bill and Guy. Doin’ it your way!

Travel bloggers are picking up the story and running with it. Check this particular blog out and read about our beloved SHACK UP INN and the other unforgettable hotel rooms around the world.

The Shack Up Inn frequently hosts large groups from all over the world.

Last week they welcomed the John Gindick Harmonica Camp.

  1. How awesome is this? I’m kind of happy that our fine shack up inn has ranked in the top 5 coming in at number 4. HIGH FIVE!

    p.s
That panoramic photo is the business, Billy. Glasses up on that one.

    • CHAS, thanks! MAGICAL MADGE shot and put together the panoramic pic! Is my fine-ass wife the bomb or what?!?! 🙂 We love ya Chastodon and we love the SHACKS!!!!

  2. Great site – keep up the good work!

  3. Thanks, Mark! 8)

  4. Great panoramic shot of The Juke Joint Chapel. We are doing a TV Show featuring The Shack Up Inn soon. Can’t wait for it! We did a write up on Clarksdale recently and it included The Shack Up Inn. Here’s a link: http://thetravelingtwosome.com/?p=3864

    • Louis, thanks for the compliment re the panoramic shot of our favorite music venue in Cdale (other than the New Roxy during festival times) and appreciate the comment! Also….WELCOME to Clarksdale. I wish our paths would have crossed.

I enjoyed your website, especially the posts regarding our fair city and hope you will look around The Delta Bohemian.

By the way, upon your return for your TV Show, you will then become SEMI-FIXTURES of Clarksdale. This place gets in visitors blood and under their skin and they start returning over and over and over again. Poor William and I were born here, have lived all over the world, and returned back to our roots and found each other. 😎 😎 We are camped here and reporting our life as Delta Bohemians….and relish completely being ourselves but not hurting anyone either. Love abounds!

I marvel at your website and encourage others to visit it. Very cool! We could learn a thing or thousand from you both!

Holla when you return or we’ll touch base with Mal (Guy) and Stan and have them give us a heads up. Hope to meet you both then! Until then, be safe on your getaways, you twosome.

  5. Check out this video of Kingfish we shot at the Shacks in the Juke Joint Chapel at his tender age of 13!
