(Clarksdale, Mississippi) Photos and Video in Post
Rust Restaurant was the recent host to a collection of Mississippi Delta artists, mostly from our fair city of Clarksdale. Musical Entertainment was provided by Sean “Bad” Appel and “Big Boy” Martin. Not only are they both musically gifted but they are both so very, very nice! Love you guys!
The artists included in random order: Bradley Gordon, Stan Street, Jason Roberts, Margaret Sherwood, Colby Gordon, Barbara Baine, Marjorie Orr, Chasiti Moore, Georgia Wilson Tindall, Rosa Wright, Chuck Lamb, Danny Paris, Joey Young, Nikki Allen, Valerie Britt and Austin Britt. What a great idea this night was. Rust provides just the perfect atmosphere for artists to mingle with guests as it always feels like a cocktail party there. Don’t miss the next Clarksdale Arts Alliance Art Show. Their first one was at the Greyhound Bus Depot/Tourist Center and was a great success, too. We’ve posted a few photos from that night at the very bottom of this post. ENJOY!

Great article and pictures. Thanks for doing this.
This event brought much happiness to my evening. I saw not only brilliant and creative artwork but a variety of people enjoying each other, taking advantage of an opportunity to showcase the diverse talents too often hidden in our small community. Thank you for providing another venue to spotlight these treasures. And much thanks to the hardworking folks at Rust for providing Clarksdale with a multitude of cultural treats through culinary options, diverse musical treats and a most pleasant and artistic environment in which to enjoy it all!
