It’s “Chilly Outside”: Reflections on Tha Moon relative to God’s Immanence, Imminence & Eminence in the Mississippi Delta: Commonality of Faith.

God is Immanent, Imminent & Eminent in the Mississippi Delta:

Immanent = Inherent
Imminent = Impending
Eminent = Distinguished

Yet, God is also transcendent here: Beyond us, outside us, above us.

A man from Nashville just booked his 4th Delta Bohemian Tour. He keeps bringing more friends to experience our slice of life! 

I have had folks take three, four…up to six tours before; and it ain’t because I am so pithy, witty, smart, etc., it is because we connect in a place where connection is possible and connection matters! We offer a lot of slow down.

We are a felicitous people—white, black, young, old and everything in between.

In my opinion, our greatest commonality, other than being misunderstood by much of the world who has not been here, is our Faith.

We are a hot mess here, but in general, we love the Lord! Now, whether our common Faith ameliorates our behavior is dependent upon…well, our behavior. We can choose to live out the tenants of our Faith and we can choose not to…

However, doing right is usually preceded by thinking right and then willing right.

The Mississippi Delta does have that French something—something Je Ne Sais Quoi to it—that something that cannot quite be described, and I think that it is largely due to where we live, the pace of life and the fact it is easier to hear God’s voice and to recognize His Immanence, Imminence and Eminence.

Seek the Delta, Seek God, Find God in the Delta.
