The sweet taste of pineapple and rum kisses my lips
Wind from the waves sends chills down my back
I dig my toes deeper to find the cold sand that’s been hidden from the heat
The sun warms me up and makes my skin feel rich and silky
I am lost in a completely different world behind the shade of my sunglasses
I am at peace

The wind tousles my hair as it blows through my windows on this long desolate road
Music hums from my speakers and consumes all the space around me
My inhibitions fly out the sunroof with the world I leave behind
My mind is easy, concentrating on nothing but the road ahead
No need to stop anywhere in sight
I am at peace

The smell of honey suckle blowing in the breeze captures my senses
Morning dew finds its way onto the tips of my sandals as I curl my toes
The noise of the earth is magnified in my ears as I stand alone in silence
My head is full of nothingness
My soul thriving with life
I am at peace

The wonderful moments when you are with me
When the time doesn’t matter and we waste away the day
Singing along to all the country love songs
Riding around, top down, with no destination in sight
Hold my hand, kiss my cheek, tell me how much you care for me
There’s no place I would rather be
I am at peace
